Description
The Team Lead for GIS Mapping is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of GIS professionals to deliver high-quality mapping solutions. This role involves leading GIS mapping projects, ensuring data accuracy, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical guidance. The Team Lead will also be responsible for troubleshooting mapping issues, implementing GIS tools, and ensuring adherence to best practices. Strong leadership, communication skills, and experience in GIS software, data analysis, and project management are essential for success in this role.
Requirements
• Minimum 6+ years of which 2+ years of work experience in managing a team of 50+
• Excellent written skills
• Must possess any graduation degree (Must have Provisional Certificate and Consolidated Marks Memo)
• Must be willing to work from office & in rotational shifts (5 Working Days & 2 Week Offs)
• Must be ready to join immediately
Preferences
• Proven experience in leading GIS mapping teams and managing projects.
• Strong knowledge of GIS software and mapping tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Expertise in data analysis, data modeling, and spatial data management.
• Ability to mentor and develop team members for continuous growth
• Proven experience in leading and managing a GIS team, including delegating tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring project deadlines are met
Job Responsibilities
• Handle a team size of 60+ and manage Shrinkage, Attrition, Productivity, Quality, ETAs/Targets/SLA/TAT/EVALS, Performance assessment/review
• People/Process/Project/Performance management, Client communication, Documentation (project related), Risk assessment, Mentor & Groom
• Deliver SLA along with excellent reporting metrics
• Handle operations, conduct briefings & team meetings for status updates, new product information,policy and procedure change etc.
• Monitor associate escalations, coach and provide constructive feedback on performance to individuals on a regular basis. With team members regarding performance parameters, self-appraisal, quarterly appraisal of the team members based on stack ranking.
