Description

As part of the Mechanical Engineering team for the surgical robot project, the Electro-Mechanical will be an integral part of a team developing portfolio for next generation robotics. This position requires a candidate with significant new product development experience and understands mechanical manufacturing processes. He/she will report to the Mechanical Engineering Leader.

Requirements

Desired skills
• Familiarity with electromechanical devices and/or robotics
• Soldering and hand tools
• Multimeter troubleshooting
• Motor drive assembly experience
• Sensor testing
• Capable of using Diagnostic Tool
• Capable of executing documented rework protocols
• Able to interface and collaborate with US-based engineer SMEs
• Knowledge of electrical safety
• EE/ME theoretical background is not a must; preferably experienced mechatronics engineer (Bachelor level)

• Adaptable team player, with the ability to work independently
• Ability to present and articulate ideas to key stakeholders and leadership team
• Excellent communication skills and Positive ‘can do’ attitude with teams
• Quality mindset in design and documentation
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills in English

• Good problem-solving skills

 

 

Job responsibilities

• Support & maintanance of robotic arms in the lab;
• Design, update, prototype & support test fixture for testing & manufacturing
• Build text fixtures and assemblies (include cabling/sourcing cables)
