What is GL BaseCamp?
GL BaseCamp is a free training program for entry-level engineers. It is conducted in a joint effort by GlobalLogic Consultants and Teachers of Universities and is aimed to launch program listeners’ IT careers as Trainees within GlobalLogic.
Who is it for?
GL BaseCamp is developed for students and switchers who already have a strong basic theoretical knowledge and want to supplement it with practical experience, get a mentor, and communicate with experienced IT experts.
How is training conducted?
GL BaseCamp lasts around 2-3 months, includes online lessons, homework, and Q&A sessions with trainers and mentors, and focuses on one of the most widespread technical stacks in GlobalLogic.
What will participants get?
Participants will get the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills, and those of them who successfully complete all stages of training and show a high level of performance could be invited to pass interviews for the Trainee/Junior positions for GlobalLogic projects and join one of the largest IT companies in Ukraine.
Which project(s) would successful graduates be able to join?
Students who will successfully complete GL BaseCamp will have the opportunity to join projects in the fields of automotive, manufacturing, telecommunications, media, finance, healthcare, etc.
Requirements
Requirements for candidates:
- Programming experience in C language
- Intermediate or above level of spoken and written English
- Experience with any Linux-based OS
- Basic knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms
- Basic knowledge of software development tools and software development life cycle
- Location – Lviv region
Would be a plus:
- Computer Science or IT-related education
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of electronics and computer HW
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities during the GL BaseCamp:
- Attending lectures and communicating with trainers
- Working with additional training materials, webinar recordings, and presentations if necessary
- Doing homework and submitting tech tasks for the mentor’s review on time
