Cassandra and PostgreSQL Developer Job Description
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain both Cassandra and PostgreSQL databases.
Implement data models and database schemas for both databases.
Optimize database performance, including query tuning and indexing for PostgreSQL and performance tuning for Cassandra.
Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of Cassandra database systems.
Develop and maintain data replication and backup strategies for both databases.
Integrate Cassandra and PostgreSQL databases with various applications.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues.
Document database designs, configurations, and procedures.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate database solutions with applications.
Stay updated with the latest developments in Cassandra, PostgreSQL, and related technologies.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Cassandra and PostgreSQL Developer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL database management.
Experience with data modeling and schema design for both Cassandra and PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with Cassandra Query Language (CQL) and SQL.
Understanding of distributed systems and data replication.
Proficient in using database management tools and software.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
