Description

We are seeking a visionary and technically proficient leader to spearhead our Center of Excellence (COE) for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) technologies. The AD/ADAS COE Leader will play a pivotal role in defining our strategic roadmap, overseeing the development and implementation of cutting-edge AD/ADAS features, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration within our team.

Requirements

• Masters/Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) with a focus on autonomous vehicles, robotics, or artificial intelligence.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams in the development of ADAS or AD technologies.
• Experience with NVIDIA/Qualcomm/NXP etc.
• Proven track record of success in defining and executing strategic technological roadmaps.
• Deep understanding of ADAS and AD systems, including sensor systems, perception, sensor fusion, path planning, and control algorithms.
• Strong experience in developing and implementing safety-critical systems.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in relevant software tools and methodologies for AD/ADAS development (e.g., simulation tools, machine learning frameworks).

Job Responsibilities

• Define the vision, roadmap, and priorities for the AD/ADAS COE, aligning it with the company’s overall business strategy and the future of autonomous mobility.
• Lead the AD/ADAS COE team, including setting goals, managing resources, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress across various ADAS and AD development projects.
• Champion a culture of innovation and collaboration within the COE, bringing together engineers, computer vision specialists, sensor fusion experts, artificial intelligence (AI) specialists, and safety engineers.
• Possess a deep understanding of ADAS and AD technologies, including sensor systems (LiDAR, radar, cameras), perception algorithms, sensor fusion techniques, path planning, and control algorithms.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and computing power relevant to AD/ADAS development.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams (engineering, safety, legal) to address technical challenges, ethical considerations, and legal implications of AD/ADAS technologies.
• Partner with external vendors (sensor manufacturers, software developers, research institutions) to leverage expertise and accelerate the development of AD/ADAS systems.
• Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive testing and validation plans for AD/ADAS features, ensuring adherence to safety standards and real-world performance.
• Manage the COE’s budget for resources like sensor technologies, simulation tools, testing facilities, and external partnerships.
• Ensure the COE operates efficiently and adheres to best practices for safety, quality control, and regulatory compliance in AD/ADAS development and testing.
• Advocate for responsible development and deployment of AD/ADAS technologies, with a strong focus on safety, security, and ethical considerations.
• Develop and implement data collection, management, and labeling practices for training and validating AD/ADAS algorithms, ensuring responsible data usage and privacy compliance.
• Monitor industry regulations and standards related to AD/ADAS technologies and advocate for the company’s interests in shaping future regulations.
• Clearly communicate the COE’s goals, challenges, and progress on AD/ADAS development to stakeholders across the organization, including executives, marketing, legal, and regulatory affairs departments.
