Description:
Our client is a worldwide leading Network and STB OEM corporation. The company designs and manufactures leading-edge technologies, software and services, which power the next generation telecom and media industry.
Requirements:
Required
- Commercial Android (AOSP) development experience;
- Strong proficiency in Java / Kotlin/ C++;
- Familiarity with multimedia frameworks and protocols used in TV applications;
- Basic understanding of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other connectivity protocols relevant to TV hardware;
- Experience in creating HAL and background services. Management of interprocess communication and multitasking;
- Good understanding of OOP principles and general patterns;
- Good analytical skills, debugging and troubleshooting;
- Technical English, Team player;
Preferred
- Passing Google tests and certifications (CTS, VTS);
- Experience with unit and integration testing;
- Knowledge of CI/CD; Jenkins basics;
Job Responsibilities:
- Participate in design and development of Android TV applications;
- Modify and enhance the Android framework and system services;
- Customize and optimize the AOSP for a specific hardware;
- Apply patches, fixes and updates to ensure system stability and security;
- Investigate and resolve device stability and performance issues;
- Write and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, design documentation and user guides;
- Execute test plans (CTS, VTS); Work with QA team to ensure high quality releases;
- Implement security features and protocols to protect the Android system;
- Work closely with FW team to achieve the optimal performance;
- Be a part of Globallogic team of successful professionals;
