Description:
We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join the Software Engineering team. Our client is one of the largest banking and financial services institutions in the world. The successful candidate will be working on migrating the application from Azure to AWS platform and must be able to demonstrate excellent commercial development skills in Core Java, Spring, AWS, the ability to organize teamwork in a process-oriented manner, and be responsible for nurturing/enforcing and monitoring the product technical excellence and high quality.
Our technology stack includes among others: Java 8+, Spring Boot, AWS, Spark, GitLab, Jenkins and the list may go on. Your team will be part of a multinational team whose teams are geographically distributed across the UK and Poland.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in coding with Java8+ back-end services
- Experience of the Spring Boot Framework; REST Microservices
- Hands on Agile technologies (Git, Gradle/Maven, Jenkins, TDD)
- Knowledge of AWS services, i.e Lambda, etc.
- NoSQL, Database Programming experience
- CI/CD experience
- Test-Driven Development (TDD) (JUnit, Mockito)
- Understanding of agile processes and incremental delivery, translating high-level ideas to stories
- Communicative English for daily interaction with the customer

Job Responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain clean Java code
- Contribute to application architecture – design and build
- Building & improving software and services through CI/CD pipelines
- Discuss and implement security protocols within software and services
- Take part in sprint planning and estimate development efforts for features and stories, as well as participate in Code Review process
