Requirements:
Must have skills
– Bachelors in software engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field
– At least 6-8 years of progressive experience in software development
– Strong programming skills in Python, knowledge in C++ programming is big plus
– Good Understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns and multithreaded applications
– Experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Batch, Bash and Linux commands
– Knowledge of white/gray/black box testing methodologies with hands-on experience
– Understanding of test methodologies (such as performance, load, stress, functional, unit, etc.)
– Strong analytical skills, capable of uncovering anomalies in robust software
Optional skills
– Software testing for sophisticated electro-mechanical systems (Medical device preferred)
– Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and ISO 13485
– Experience with automated GUI testing tools such as Squish
– Experience with networking tools for troubleshooting issues related to data transfer and performance across a network
– Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems
– Experience with JIRA or any similar bug tracking tools
– Experience with JAMA or any similar test management tools
Job Responsibilities:
GlobalLogic is starting a completely new project and is building a new team. Here we are looking for a Lead Automation Engineer who will lead the new test automation team and perform hands on tasks on technical aspects such as developing test infrastructure, test fixtures and implementing test scripts for the existing robotic system. Team will collect and analyze data to verify, validate and measure software product quality and performance throughout the software development lifecycle. They will also be responsible for writing test procedures, test reports, performing test plans and filing bugs.
The candidate must be comfortable working with complex electro-mechanical systems, deploying new software releases and running test scripts on the systems. The candidate will work in close relationship with the software developers to integrate and improve test infrastructure in existing software solutions.
We are looking for a candidate who can work independently and function well within a team, is self-motivated, diligent, takes testing and automation as their true passion and wants bring software to an outstanding level of reliability. Responsibilities will include
– Design and develop test automation system and test fixtures
– Design and implement sophisticated automated tests for software and hardware components
– Improve test automation scripts and coverage
– Create test protocols and test reports
– Implement and execute functional tests, unit tests, stress tests and performance tests
– Collect, analyze, track and report test results. Document and file bugs
– Participate in design discussions and code reviews
– Technical leading and mentoring test team members on test automation
