Description:
Our client is is creating ambitious new products that bring connectivity, real-time guidance, and decision support to the operating room. To support this mission, we are developing compact, high-performance, embedded systems that enable edge computing and connectivity.

Requirements:
As a Devices Test Engineer you will work on a medical devices and software project team alongside developers, designers, and product owners to ensure we deliver sustainable, high-quality product features. We are looking for an inventive and creative Engineer who is well-versed in exploratory testing and automation and finds value in driving story development through user-centric examples.
Must Haves
• Proven experience testing hardware device systems, Linux, and remote device management device industry. (or other safety-critical industries)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in full-stack (FE + BE) software testing, preferably in the medical device industry (or other safety-critical industries)
• Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (ISO 13485, IEC 62304, 21 CFR 820)
• Strong programming skills and demonstrable experience in test automation (preferably Python
and Kotlin)
• Willingness to go to business trips to London (we are assuming 1 week per month at the beginning of the project)
Nice to Haves
• BS/MS in Computer, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or equivalent
• Experience with virtualisation
• Certification in software testing, such as ISTQB
• Knowledge of video encoding/codecs and related tooling (ffmpeg)
• Experience with Cloud (AWS) and DevOps tools for Continuous Integration (CI) testing

Job Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the cross-functional members of the core product project team to refine the acceptance criteria and ensure the definition of done for the story, features, and release levels meet the quality standards of our test policy and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure the verification and validation of acceptance criteria can be continuously checked through the delivery of testability and automated acceptance tests.
• Conduct risk-driven exploratory testing for individual stories and release candidates using charters and appropriate techniques to discover potential problems.
• Help measure how closely the product meets our quality goals and highlight risks.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, quality dashboard insights/metrics, and documentation for presentation to the team and stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement by developing team guidelines, playbooks, and knowledge sharing to encourage better practices, testability and increase the value of our feedback loops to the team and stakeholders.
