Job responsibilities
- Implement and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to detect, respond to, and mitigate security incidents in real-time.
- Manage AWS security services such as AWS WAF, Secrets Manager, and Identity and Access Management (IAM) to safeguard cloud resources and sensitive data.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to enforce security standards, ensuring security is embedded within the development lifecycle.
- Conduct regular cloud security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and address potential threats.
- Design and implement IAM policies, roles, and permissions that minimize risk and follow the principle of least privilege.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the broader tech team on cloud security best practices and new security trends in the industry.
- Lead incident response efforts for any security breaches or attacks, conducting thorough post-mortem analyses and implementing improved security measures.
