Description:
The client is a leading world telecommunication provider.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience: 4-5 years of experience in cloud engineering or a related role, with hands-on experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Several years of experience with Kubernetes deployments in production with real-world clients (preferably on Amazon EKS).
Deep knowledge in containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience designing CI pipelines with Gitlab CI and with GitOps.
Understanding of microservices architecture.
Strong knowledge of networking, security, and database management in the cloud.
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with on-prem to cloud migration.
Experience migrating from Docker Swarm to Kubernetes.
Experience with Helm.
Experience managing many single-tenant deployments.
Experience deploying industrial/manufacturing solution

Job Responsibilities:
Cloud Architecture Design: Design and implement an on-prem-to-cloud migration plan using industry-standard tooling and best practices.
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Automation, Scripting, and CI: Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, plus scripts to automate cloud operations, deployments, and monitoring.
Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security policies, controls, and compliance frameworks to protect data and applications in the cloud.
Performance Optimization: Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and make recommendations for improvements to ensure high availability and scalability.
Incident Management: Respond to and resolve cloud infrastructure incidents, minimizing downtime, and ensuring system reliability.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate and deploy cloud-based applications.
Mentoring and Training: Lead by example, teaching team members and spreading knowledge about cloud architecture, processes, and procedures.
Understand Legacy Systems: Quickly gain knowledge of existing systems so they can be migrated with minimal downtime and modification.
