Description:
You have 6+ years of experience in building scalable, enterprise-grade applications with a history of
writing clean, testable code.
6+ years of hands-on experience with one or more programming languages, preferably Java 8 and
beyond.
You have been building and deploying applications from start to finish, as well as APIs for internal and external consumption.
You are proficient in building scalable and robust server-side Java applications using Spring framework.
You have an awareness of event-based systems, functional programming, and messaging frameworks such as ActiveMQ.
Experience with high-level performance optimization and troubleshooting bottlenecks Java, including advanced topics like performance optimization, multithreading, and synchronization.
Knowledge of Docker, React, Kubernetes, Microservices is a plus.
You have a good working knowledge of Relational Databases (preferably MySQL & Oracle) and SQL.
You care about code quality and have experience developing unit tests using standard automation frameworks, such as JUnit. You should also have experience using mock objects. We highly value well-tested code.
You have some experience with Docker and concepts related to containerization.
Experience in cloud technologies and practices, building applications using services such as AWS S3, EC2, DynamoDB, Lambda, EKS, Cloud Formation, etc. is a plus.
Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, or Agile practices is a plus.
A continuous learner, forward-thinking, open to new processes and technologies.

Job Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design and develop high-volume, low-latency and secure applications.
Ensure designs meet specifications and are elegantly crafted, testable, and efficient.
Collaborate with program or product managers to provide significant contributions on technical elements of sprint/iteration planning, estimation, risk, dependencies, and user stories definition.
Develop code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
Contribute to requirements analysis, design, development, and post-production support.
Take ownership of performance and optimization problems, particularly at large scale, and a demonstrated ability to both diagnose and prevent these problems.
Help to define and improve our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
Agile development is second nature. Not only will you be expected to participate in daily scrums, sprint planning, and retros; you’ll be expected to help improve our ceremonies.
