Description:
Design and Architecture:
Design efficient data architecture diagrams for complex systems, including Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs).
Develop and maintain data models and data flows for optimal data extraction, load, and transformation (ELT) on Azure.
Data Integrity and Quality:
Support initiatives to ensure data integrity, quality, and normalization.
Execute tests on data populated in target data sources, validating expected results to ensure accuracy and performance.
Data Processing and Security:
Process confidential data according to industry standard guidelines.
Identify and secure data at various levels in data analysis and visualization projects.
Data Integration and Pipelines:
Provide inputs for and implement data integration, engineering, analysis, and solutions.
Build robust data pipelines to collect, process, and compute metrics from various operational sources, adhering to quality and development standards.
Optimization and Streamlining:
Identify and recommend new ways to streamline and optimize data processes.
Manage master data sets, including creating, updating, and deleting master data.
Technical Expertise and Collaboration:
Provide technical expertise on data warehousing, data storage structures, and dimensional data modeling.
Work with product and project leaders to translate data needs into actionable projects, prioritizing work accordingly.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
Maintain efficient documentation, including security design documents, development design documents, unit testing documents, QA documents, and performance analysis reports.
Contribute to the company’s knowledge database (wiki) regarding common processes and templates.
Mentoring and Team Collaboration:
Mentor other developers, ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices.
Act as a team player, assisting other developers when needed and based on the criticality of tasks.
Self-Management and Problem Solving:
Be a self-starter and independent contributor, capable of unblocking yourself by reaching out to the right resources.
Update the team at regular intervals and maintain work status on task tracking boards (e.g., JIRA, Azure Boards, Confluence).
Adhere to deadlines, anticipate potential blockers, and proactively resolve technical issues.
Requirements:
4-6 years experience.
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions on Microsoft Azure. As an Azure Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our data infrastructure is robust, scalable, and efficient, supporting various business needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and building data pipelines.
Knowledge of data security and privacy standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
