Sr. Web Automation Engineer
Requirements:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Web Automation QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our web applications utilizing modern automated testing frameworks. You will collaborate closely with development, product, and manual QA teams to design test plans, write automated tests, and ensure that new features meet high-quality standards before release.
Essential Qualifications
* Significant experience (5+ years) with automated testing of complex web applications
* Expert-level knowledge of one or more modern web automation frameworks, preferably Playwright
* Ability to design comprehensive test cases from feature definitions, covering various scenarios and edge cases
* Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) to report and manage bugs effectively
* Past work with professional product teams to deliver on tight deadlines
* Knowledge of one or more continuous integration pipeline software products such as Jenkins, Github Actions, CircleCI, etc
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

What You Might Do
Coordinate closely with a development team and product owners to design automated test plans for major features of a web application
Write reliable, resilient, and performant tests using modern browser automation frameworks such as Playwright
Analyze and report bugs found during testing to our ticketing system, and work with developers to diagnose and resolve issues
Provide app health and testing status reports based on automated testing to product owners and QA teams
Maintain tests as the product and codebase changes
Work within project deadlines to help the team release quickly and with confidence
