Description

We build and maintain internal applications for a worldwide tech company based in Los Angeles. These are high-availability applications to support different company processes.
The team’s framework is based on empowerment and ownership, where each feature requirement is assigned to a team member who is responsible of it during the complete software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• English (Upper-Intermediate) or Advanced
• Proficient in Javascript & Typescript
• Proficient working with ReactJS
• Proficient in Java
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Strong knowledge of Semantic HTML.
• Experience working with GIT
• Experience working with Gradle
• Experience working with Python will be a major plus.
• At least an Upper-Intermediate English level.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with low supervision.
• Must demonstrate a hands-on attitude, attention to detail and results orientation.
• Ability to understand business requirements and convert them to technical solutions.
• Good knowledge of the continuous deployment and integration process.
• Ability to ramps-up-quickly, is proactive, takes ownership.
• Should be comfortable adapting to changing requirements and design.

Job responsibilities

• Write high-quality and maintainable React code and write tests (Jest) for their features.
• Write high-quality Java code and write tests for their features.
• Experience with a complete lifecycle of software development, from design to productionisation.
• Conduct E2E test for their assigned features.
• Ensure quality and that the delivery dates of their assigned features are met.
• Work independently with Product Owners to confirm and polish business requirements.
• Report and mitigate potential risks and deviations in time.
• Optimize applications to maximize speed and scale.
• Coordinate less experienced team members collaborating with their assigned features.
• Troubleshoot the framework/CI/env issues and fix them.
