Wage: From 2800€ gross/monthly. Final salary will reflect your skills and experience.

Requirements:
– 8+ years of experience making significant contributions in the form of code
– 8+ year working with SQL and RDBM’s systems, preferably:
– PostgreSQL
– DB2 (Preferred, not required)
– AWS RDS
– 5+ year working with Cloud Ecosystems & Tools, preferably AWS but others like Azure/GCP are accepted.
– Experience working with high-scale systems, with experience around highly parallelized workloads, special emphasis
– Query optimization
– Data partition
– Proper usage of store procedures
– Passionate about helping your teammates grow by providing insightful code reviews and feedback
– Serve as a Senior member of the team by contributing to the architecture, design, and implementation of technology features
– Lead and drive technical projects. Take responsibility for the planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects using Agile framework
– Collaborate against multiple code bases using git | github | bitbucket
Bonus Experience:
– Experience with DBT or other data transformation tools
– Strong understanding of concurrent and parallel programming
– Experience on AWS Database Migration Services or other Migration tools
– Experience with C programming and/or functional programming like Scala
Job Responsibilities:
– Collaborate in the process of building & migrating data on a Data Platform on top of AWS Ecosystem to port-over some of EMS Legacy applications.
– Migrate Databases from on-prem servers into AWS Managed Databases using services like AWS Data Migration Services (DMS) and/or others.
– The migration needs to allow for on-going data-syncs while the users are moved to the final version while also ensuring the quality/integrity of the data assets.
– The engineer needs to be able to navigate through complex Store Procedures and provide translation into other RDBM’s systems/languages.
– The engineer needs to be able to optimize data structures in case the two systems (on-prem and cloud) are not 100% compatible and performance would be impacted.
A day in the life as an Engineer
– Solve complex problems building advanced software systems, while processing several petabytes of data
dapt quickly to utilize software engineering best practices.
– Demonstrate the ability to deliver quality software collaboratively in value stream teams using scrum methodology.
– Contributing to real production projects that constitute our core offering.
– Collaborate with your team of engineers and add to product, account, and business development functions to create new products and features. Always providing collaboration and mutual assistance, mutual respect, courtesy and dependability.
– Ensure that the software you create is testable and tested.
– Peer review code, participate in proper code stewardship.
– Work with Product Owner (value stream specific) and focus group lead (depending on roles). Reports to Management.
– Comply with corresponding protocols and procedures such as: coding convention, use of version control, proper code testing, alert/monitoring system. These protocols/procedures will be produced and shared by focus groups and leads.
– Participate in code releases, following pre-defined standards.
