Requirements:
Must Have:
Advanced knowledge in Data Science and Operations Research
3+ years of industry experience developing and implementing
optimization models using tools such as Google OR-Tools (CP-SAT), IBM
CPLEX, and Gurobi
Strong programming skills in Python, particularly for data analysis and modeling
Deep understanding of linear programming, integer programming, mixed-integer programming, and constraint programming
Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using libraries like pandas and NumPy
Experience with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn and TensorFlow
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Proficient in written and spoken English, demonstrating good communication skills
Nice to Have:
Master’s degree or PhD in Data Science, Operations Research,
Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or other STEM
fields
Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist specializing in Optimization Modeling. The ideal candidate will possess profound knowledge in data science, machine learning, and optimization modeling. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced data-driven optimization models to solve complex business challenges. The role primarily focuses on leveraging data science techniques (primarily in constraints programming area) for schedule optimization within the corporate real estate industry, with additional responsibilities for route optimization solutions.
Data Analysis and Preprocessing: Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and data preprocessing to prepare datasets for
modeling
Model Development: Design and develop advanced mathematical and machine learning models to solve real-world optimization problems
Problem Definition: Work with stakeholders to define problem requirements, constraints, and objectives, translating business needs
into data science problems
Model Implementation: Implement, test, and validate optimization and machine learning models, ensuring their accuracy, robustness, and
scalability
Solution Deployment: Integrate data-driven optimization solutions with existing systems and operational processes
Performance Analysis: Conduct comprehensive performance analysis, including model evaluation metrics, and troubleshoot to refine and
enhance models
Documentation: Document methods, algorithms, data pipelines, and results to ensure reproducibility and transparency
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations and detailed reports
Research & Development: Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and optimization
techniques, proposing enhancements to current methodologies
