Description:

The Generative AI Platform project leverages cutting-edge AI and ML technologies to develop and deploy cloud-agnostic Gen AI applications on demand and enable users to create custom solutions for Sales, Marketing, Software Engineering, and Customer Service use cases. Fully managed RAG workflow including ingestion, retrieval, and augmentation of data, securely connected to many types of information consolidated and aggregated from multiple sources. The Platform’s ultimate goal is to deliver the user-friendly LLM as a Service Model (LLMaaS) trained on internal company resources, which contributes to the adoption of AI among multiple consumers across the business.

Requirements:

  • Strong Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), engineering practices and quality assurance principles or experience establishing such processes.
  • Proven experience in release management or related roles within software development projects. Proficiency in release management tools and version control systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Agile software development practices.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Release Planning and Coordination

  • Collaborate with product managers, platform and accelerator development teams, and stakeholders to define release schedules and milestones.
  • Coordinate release planning meetings and communicate release timelines to all stakeholders.
  • Identify dependencies and risks that may impact release schedules and develop mitigation strategies

2. Release Management

  • Establish, document and maintain release management processes and standards.
  • Handle regular (planned) and patch/hotfix releases.
  • Make sure the changes in the released product (i.e. production patches) are approved and meet established standards.
  • Prepare a rollback plan and organize regular practice .
  • Oversee the execution of release activities, including code freeze, build deployment, environment configuration, release branching.
  • Manage QA, UAT, Pre-Prod, Pod environment deployments and ensure they are properly configured and available for release testing- coordinate with Devops, QA, Scrum masters to provision and maintain environments as needed.
  • Monitor release progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders on release status.

3. Release Artifacts

  • Establish release artifact repository which captures all artifacts as a part of the release (BOM, Bill of Materials) including source code, compiled binaries, third-party libraries, LLMs, verification reports, user, developer and admin guides, deployment instructions, etc.
  • Coordinate platform and individual component Release Notes documents preparation.

4. Release Criteria and Readiness

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Component owners, QA, Security, Program management, Technical Support) to define a measurable Release Criteria based on functional completeness, quality metrics, non-functional quality gates (code quality, performance, security, etc).
  • Facilitate “Go/No Go” decision by driving release validation meetings with key stakeholders to review release criteria and assess readiness.
  • Present release status and key metrics to stakeholders, highlighting any deviations from release criteria and proposed mitigation strategies.

5.Release Deployment

  • Lead release deployment activities, coordinating deployment planning and execution.
  • Coordinate post-release verification to ensure successful deployment and functionality in the UAT environment.
  • Initiate and proceed with the rollback in case of unsuccessful deployment

 

6. Continuous improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve the release management process.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and teams to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and tools to optimize release management efficiency and effectiveness.
