Description

Our Quality Engineering (QE) team is looking for a QE Performance Test Engineer. The role requires a

dynamic agile engineering mindset, patience, and persistence to solve complex problems, ability to get
things done quickly but thoughtfully, and strong engineering skills.
As a Performance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal and reliable performance
of industrial systems and applications. You will be responsible for evaluating, testing, and optimizing the
performance of our solutions at scale, ensuring seamless operation and responsiveness under various
conditions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will identify and address performance
bottlenecks, contribute to the optimization of systems, and play a key role in delivering highperformance
software solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or any equivalent Engineering is required.
• 4+ years of experience in a comparable or similar role.
• Performance Testing:
• Proficient in managing and deploying Performance Test workloads on on-premise (Linux) and cloud (preferably AWS) environments
• Proficiency in using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling or similar tools for load testing,
  stress testing, performance Monitoring & Profiling.
   Ability to analyze test results and identify performance bottlenecks.
   Experience with APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tools like New Relic or
  AppDynamics.
   Monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash,
  Kibana), or Splunk.
• Scripting & Automation:
   Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automating performance
  test scenarios, data generation, and result analysis.
   Understanding of RESTful APIs and how to interact with them programmatically.
   Experience with relational & non-relational databases for test data preparation.
• System Administration and Networking:
   Knowledge of Linux/Unix OS.
   Networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.
   System-level troubleshooting and debugging skills.
   Understanding of networking protocols, HTTP, TCP/IP, DNS, and ability to analyze network
  performance using tools like Wireshark or tcpdump.
• Strong Analytical Skills & ability to analyze performance test results, identify performance
  bottlenecks, memory leaks, and scalability issues. Proficiency in troubleshooting and performing
  root cause analysis of performance issues across various layers of the application stack (e.g.,
  frontend, backend, database).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, architects, and other stakeholders to implement
  performance improvements and optimize system performance.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and
  meet tight deadlines.

Job responsibilities

• Performance Testing: Plan, design, and execute performance testing scenarios for distributed
  applications and systems. Conduct load, stress, and scalability testing to identify and address
  performance bottlenecks.
• Monitoring and Analysis: Implement monitoring solutions to collect and analyze performance
  metrics of system components. Diagnose and troubleshoot performance issues, providing detailed
  root cause analysis.
• Benchmarking: Develop and execute benchmark tests to compare the performance of different
  modules and components. Provide recommendations based on benchmark results to enhance
  overall system efficiency.
• Capacity Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast capacity requirements and
  plan for scalability. Recommend infrastructure improvements and optimizations to meet future
  performance needs.
• Performance Tuning: Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to fine-tune and
  optimize enterprise applications for better performance. Implement code and configuration changes
  to address performance challenges.
• Automation: Develop and maintain automated performance testing scripts and tools.
