Description:
The client develops, manufactures, and markets the only active robotic surgical systems for orthopedic surgery.

The system’s main functionality is the creation of a 3D representation of the bone, helping the surgeons plan the surgery and the connectivity between the different systems. The company was incorporated in 2000 and is based in Fremont, California.
Requirements:
Required:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
▪ Minimum of 10 years of experience in cybersecurity.
▪ Minimum of 5 years of experience in security for medical devices or similar regulated industries.
▪ Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards such as FDA guidance on cybersecurity for medical devices, 21CFR, HIPPA, ISO 27001, IEC 81001-5 and NIST SP 800-160v1r1.
▪ Knowledge of industry best practices and standards in control management, risk assessment, quality assurance, compliance, process improvement, and/or governance.
▪ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex cybersecurity risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
▪ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
▪ Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable Quality System Standards.
Preferred:
▪ Advanced degree preferred.
▪ Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
Job Responsibilities:
The client is looking for a Product Cybersecurity Manager who will assist with developing and
implementing robust cybersecurity strategies to safeguard our products from potential cyber threats
and vulnerabilities.
▪ Design and implement quality processes to ensure compliance with requirements such as FDA
guidance on cybersecurity.
▪ Conduct risk assessments to identify potential cybersecurity vulnerabilities and threats and
implement proactive measures to mitigate risks effectively.
▪ Develop and implement incident response procedures and plans to effectively respond to and
mitigate cybersecurity incidents while ensuring patient safety.
▪ Work cross functionally to develop and execute comprehensive cybersecurity strategies for the
entire product portfolio, surgical robots to web applications.
▪ Oversee the planning and execution of rigorous security testing and evaluation procedures,
including threat modeling, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, threat modeling, and code
review, to identify and address security weaknesses.
▪ Track the evolving cybersecurity regulations and industry standards relevant to medical devices
to ensure quality processes are up to date.
▪ Provide cybersecurity training and awareness programs for internal stakeholders to foster a
culture of cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
