Description:
Our client is responsible for the mastering and distribution of digital content to theaters on behalf of major cinema studio clients. These responsibilities are inclusive of a variety of content services including digital cinema mastering, 2D and 3D subtitling, format validation, and social media transcoding and fulfillment. The group also manages both electronic and physical distribution of digital cinema and non-digital cinema assets to theaters. The group is responsible for a variety delivery support functions such asset tracking, archiving, delivery network management, digital cinema key management and distribution, and a 24/365 exhibitor support call center. The group’s goal is to advance technology within the theatrical content mastering and delivery space to stay ahead of our clients’ ever-evolving distribution needs.
Requirements:
Qualifications (Must have)
5+ years developing applications in C#
2+ years developing applications in React or a similar JavaScript framework
Knowledge of at least one unit testing framework (XUnit, NUnit, MSTest, etc.)
Experience with building REST APIs
Knowledge of or experience with MongoDB or another non-relation data store
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work remotely and unaided when out of team time zones
Other Desired Knowledge and Experience
Exposure to cloud development (AWS preferred, but anything is a plus)
Knowledge of or experience with Kafka
Basic usage of Docker
Job Responsibilities:

Duties:
Build and maintain software systems
Translate requirements and acceptance criteria from user stories into code that satisfies them
Participate in team meetings to understand production direction and feature requests
Create unit tests to ensure that systems are functioning correctly
Coordinate with QA Engineers on testing of features; confirm reliability of steps to reproduce any defects that may be uncovered
Participate in code reviews to help ensure that all code written meets business requirements while also implementing best practices
Communicate effectively with the team to overcome any blockers to project completion
