Requirements

Requirements:
– Proven experience in engineering management, leading full-stack teams.
– Strong technical background in Python, Django, React, AWS, and related technologies.
– Excellent English communication skills.
– Demonstrated ability to work in an Agile Scrum team.
– Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Experience with large-scale data applications.
– Familiarity with life science data or healthcare tech.

Job responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic full-stack team responsible for managing and enhancing our Python Django application and other critical systems. This role involves overseeing the development of our web application, which serves as the main interface for our data marketplace hosting life science data suppliers. You will also empower our users to delve deep into the complexities of the data in our warehouse and build out the data visualizations and dynamic interfaces that provide those insights.

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers (including tech leads, mid-level, and junior engineers).
– Ensure the delivery of high-quality software within established timelines.
– Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to align engineering goals with business objectives.
– Oversee the modernization of our tech stack and remediation of tech debt.
– Drive optimization and performance improvements, particularly in the calculation of HyperLogLogs for large datasets.
– Foster an Agile Scrum environment, promoting continuous improvement and innovation.
