Description:
Our customer provides collaborative payment, invoice and document automation solutions to corporations, financial institutions and banks around the world. The company’s solutions are used to streamline, automate and manage processes involving payments, invoicing, global cash management, supply chain finance and transactional documents. Organizations trust these solutions to meet their needs for cost reduction, competitive differentiation and optimization of working capital.
Requirements:
5+ years’ experience in Release Engineering
• Strong Unix knowledge
• Hands on working knowledge in terraform, puppet, gitops, docker and kubernetes
• Able to multi task and switch between priorities as needed
• Good communication skills
• Prior experience in handling production issues
• As this is a lead position, ability to explain and articulate things to others
• Hands on experience in JIRA and confluence
• Experience with AWS is highly desired
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle & DevOps Practices
• Expertise with Source Control systems (Git, etc.)
• Expertise with Build tools such as Maven, Jenkins
• Experience with Continuous Integration Environments
• Strong scripting skills (ruby, shell)
• Experience with java app server, e.g. Weblogic, Tomcat
• Experience with Infrastructure deployment tools such as puppet or chef
• Experience with Deployment orchestration tools such as Capistrano
• Experience with Docker & Kubernetes
• Basic understanding of networking terminology and layouts
Job Responsibilities:
• Understanding of scaling applications from developer environments to production
• Maintains and creates build and deployment automation scripts
• Work with developers and QA engineers to optimise their development and test environments
• Lead weekly grooming sessions when necessary to estimate the technical tasks
• Responsible to maintaining and ensuring systems are scalable and stable
• Responsible to find opportunities for automation and implement them based on priority
• Being a role model for other engineers to follow
• Responsible for proper running and functionality of the Development and QA test environments
• Work with developers, QA and AppOps teams to identify and resolve build or deployment issues
• Responsible for maintenance of Source Control systems and Development tools infrastructure
• Ensures high quality build artifacts are packaged and ready for production deployments
• Maintains documentation and build/release tracking records consistent with audit requiremen
