As part of SWx; Global Data & Analytics team is building a best in class data platform offering powerful capabilities to build data solutions in fast & self-service manner. Requirements:
What you’ll bring
Here are some skills that would give you the right background knowledge to succeed here:
- Have at least 3-5 years of experience as DevOps and/or Infrastructure engineer
- Hands on experience working on Cloud Infrastructure (AWS)
- A combination of experience setting up infrastructure on AWS plus one of either GCP, Azure or on-premises systems
- A mindset to leverage automation for productivity
- Strong experience dealing with infrastructure as code using terraform
- Experience in setting up and managing Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of site-reliability principles and tooling
- Basic knowledge on cloud security topics such as VPC Peering, Security groups and IAM roles setup
- Experience with scripting (Python, Bash)
- Experience with some workflow engine for Kubernetes (eg. Argo CD)
Job Responsibilities:
What you’ll do
- Work in cross-functional team with project manager, data & software engineers, analysts; designing and building scalable, cost-effective infrastructure
- Be an advocate for best DevOps practices.
- Design and develop generic features (capabilities) of our first in class data platform that can continue to scale;
- Help to enable your team to iterate fast and learn about platform users. Planning, building, testing and launching features enabling users to use platform capabilities in self-service manner;
- Collaborate with engineers across your department and the company to continuously improve processes & toolings to run and operate our systems
- Coach and mentor other team members through workshops, pair programming, and code reviews;
- Work with technologies like Terraform, Docker, KVM, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes and more
