Description:

Our client is a leading telecommunications and internet service provider based in Japan, offering a range of innovative solutions including network services, cloud computing and security solutions to businesses and individuals. By leveraging the technological expertise gained through providing Internet connectivity services, the company has expanded its business portfolio as a total solutions provider, offering outsourcing services that include cloud computing, Wide-Area Network (WAN) services, systems integration services, and more.

Moving all information online has necessitated expanding their cloud service capabilities to remain competitive with other leading market players in this field. A set of our projects will focus on extending these services’ capabilities and functionalities, including the development of new modules and more, to meet this demand.

Requirements:

  • Japanese language proficiency (N1 or N2 levels), certified with fluent in speaking, reading and writting;
  • English language proficiency (Advanced (CEFR)); 
  • Supporting the software development teams with the respective Japanese language proficiency (speaking, writing, reading);
  • Understanding of Japanese culture and communication features;
  • Proficient in converting Japanese user guides, technical manuals and presentations to English and vice versa;
  • Team player with an exceptional interpersonal and work ethic attitudes;
  • Understanding of IT projects/products development would be a plus;
  • Software/Computer Engineering background/knowledge/skills would be a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

Interpreting support of delivery teams (mainly from in EMEA) in the communication with the Customers from Japan with the following duties:

  • Participate in meetings (e.g. Daily standup, Steering Committee meetings, etc.) and communicate with the Clients in Japanese whenever necessary (speaking, writing, reading), providing on-the-fly interpretation from Japanese to English and vice versa;
  • Translating technical documentation from Japanese to English and vice versa;
  • Helping delivery teams with various understandings of customer requirements and communication peculiarities.
